The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry in collaboration with the Measures and Support Division and Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta will be organising an online info session about available EU-funded opportunities as part of the Business Enhance Schemes. These include:
• Digitalise your Business
• SME Enhance (de minimis)
• SME Enhance (GBER)
• Business Reports for SMEs
• Retrofit
• Start-Up Enhance
This online information session will be delivered by a representative from the Measures and Support Division and will include a general overview of the available schemes, information about how to apply and a Q&A session.
Brief Information about the available schemes:
Digitalise your Business (Eligible: Enterprises)
This incentive seeks to assist Enterprises through non-repayable Grants to part-finance investment to digitalise their operations, and hence improve their resilience, efficiency, productivity and customer experience by addressing new digital capabilities and digitalised processes such as product and process design and engineering, end-to-end procurement, supply chain/distribution and after sales.
SME Enhance (de minimis) (Eligible: Small-Medium Enterprises)
This incentive seeks to support SMEs through non-repayable Grants to part-finance investment towards expansion, diversification, innovation of the operations and initial investment, aimed at potentially improving the productivity of the enterprise.
SME Enhance (GBER) (Eligible: Small-Medium Enterprises)
This incentive seeks to support SMEs through non-repayable Grants to part-finance investment towards expansion, diversification, innovation of the operations and initial investment, aimed at potentially improving the productivity of the enterprise.
Business Reports for SMEs (Eligible: Small-Medium Enterprises)
This Grant Scheme seeks to support SMEs through the provision of non-repayable Grants in the form of a lump sum to part-finance a business report procured from external Consultancy Service Providers which are registered with the IB and which are autonomous and unrelated to the Beneficiary Undertaking.
External consultancy services shall be procured to support the decision-taking process, by providing:
• Process and Systems Review aimed at rendering the Undertaking potentially more efficient; or
• Business Plan addressing the proposed investment initiatives, aimed at rendering the Undertaking potentially more competitive.
Retrofit (Eligible: Enterprises)
This fund seeks to support investments to address high upfront costs of building renovations in the private sector, namely commercial buildings. Actions that reduce the primary energy demand of the building by reducing the energy used for heating, cooling, ventilation, hot water and lighting are eligible. This includes actions involving systems for the above energy use as well as interventions on the building envelope that reduce the energy demand required by the above.
Start-Up Enhance (Eligible: Micro and Small Enterprises)
This incentive seeks to support Start-ups through non-repayable Grants to part-finance investments in tangible and intangible assets contributing to potentially improve the productivity of the enterprise.
