Malta-Cyprus Business Delegation

Description

Following the postponement of the March trip, the Malta-Cyprus Business Council is rescheduling the trade mission to Cyprus for September 22–25, 2026. Based on logistical advice from the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), the delegation will focus exclusively on to ensure high-quality, manageable B2B networking.

The mission aims to present Maltese capabilities, deliver granular market intelligence via comparative data presentation, and facilitate targeted business matchmaking.

Logistical & Travel Arrangements

  • Timeline: A 4-day itinerary consisting of two dedicated travel days and two days of business activities.
    • September 22: Arrival in Cyprus.
    • September 23: Official Institutional & B2B Programme.
    • September 24: Follow-up & Independent B2B Meetings.
    • September 25: Departure to Malta.
  • In Country Support: This event is being coordinated with the assistance of the Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (CCCI).
  • Local Institutional Support: The Malta Chamber of Commerce will be reaching out to TradeMalta, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Commercial Diplomacy Unit, and the Honorary Consul in Cyprus for on-the-ground support.
  • Funding: A voluntary corporate sponsorship tier system (€100 to €300) is being utilized to fund an evening networking reception.

Draft Programme Outline

Pre-Mission Deadlines

  • July 29, 2026: Submission of initial delegation list and sector breakdown to CCCI for B2B matchmaking.
  • Early September 2026: Pre-departure informational briefing and webinar for all delegates.

On-Ground Itinerary

Tuesday, September 22, 2026 – Arrival

  • Delegation travel from Malta to Cyprus, check-in at Nicosia accommodations, and independent preparation.

Wednesday, September 23, 2026 – Day 1: Official CCCI Programme

  • Venue: CCCI Premises, Nicosia.
  • Morning:
    • Opening remarks from leadership.
    • Presentation of comparative Malta-Cyprus attractiveness surveys.
    • Overview of the Cypriot business environment.
  • Early Afternoon: Sector presentations by participating Maltese companies.
  • Late Afternoon: Pre-arranged B2B matchmaking sessions with Cypriot counterparties.
  • Evening: Sponsored delegate networking and cocktail reception.

Thursday, September 24, 2026 – Day 2: Independent Business Track

  • All Day: Dedicated window for independent follow-up meetings, off-site corporate visits, and sector-specific networking driven by individual delegate priorities.

Friday, September 25, 2026 – Departure

Delegation check-out and return travel to Malta.
