YCN Heritage Walk

Description

Join us for an exhilarating journey with the Young Chamber Network as we embark on a journey to discover the fascinating Victoria Lines. This special hiking event promises to unveil the historical marvels and stunning landscapes of Malta, showcasing its diverse military architecture and rich ecology. As we traverse the Victoria Lines, we’ll not only connect with the natural beauty surrounding us but also forge bonds with fellow members of The Malta Chamber. Don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in history, nature, and camaraderie.

Starting Point: San Giovanni Battery, near Madliena Heights
Finish Point: Fomm ir-Rih Bay
Distance: Approximately 17 km

Route Information:
Our adventure will begin at the historic San Giovanni Battery, weaving through the scenic Victoria Lines, and conclude at the stunning Fomm ir-Rih Bay. This is not a race; we will take rest and water breaks as needed, ensuring a comfortable pace for all participants.

What to Bring:
– Good trekking shoes
– Weather-appropriate clothing (including rain gear or sun protection if necessary)
– Water and snacks

Transportation:
Transport will be provided from the end point back to the starting point.

Charity Contribution:
While there is a suggested donation of €15 to cover costs, any additional contributions will be donated to a third-party NGO (money will be collected at the start of the walk)

Health and Safety:
Your safety is our priority. Thomas will lead the hike, with Francesca ensuring no one is left behind. Both will have first aid kits and contact numbers will be provided at the start of the hike for any emergencies.
