Event Date
10 November, 2025
As part of SME Week 2025, The Malta Chamber, together with the Malta Business Registry (MBR) will host ‘Simplification through Digitalisation’.
Digital transformation is reshaping the way companies operate and interact with regulators — and this event will explore how businesses can benefit from smarter, simpler, and more transparent processes. At the centre of the discussion will be the Centralized Data Repository. Built around the once-only principle, it promises to reduce paperwork, improve data efficiency, and make compliance less of a burden for companies.
The programme will also unpack key regulatory updates and governance themes, including:
1. The 6th Anti-Money Laundering Directive (6AMLD) and the new definition of Beneficial Owner
2. Recent Companies Act Amendments
3. New forms introduced by the MBR
4. The evolving Roles and Duties of Directors and Company Secretaries
5. MBR’s initiatives in favour of digitalisation to reduce unnecessary burdens for businesses
Expect a mix of presentations, fireside chats, and panel discussions designed to spark dialogue and provide practical takeaways. A Q&A session will give participants the chance to raise questions and share feedback directly with the MBR.
This event is an opportunity not just to stay informed, but to actively shape the future of digitalization and simplification in Malta’s business landscape.
