Diagnosing the Maltese Economy

Twenty years after joining the European Union, one can say that the country has successfully navigated major economic challenges, including the global financial crisis, the pandemic, and the surge in inflation. Improvements have also been achieved across key economic indicators.

Now is the time to reflect on where the Maltese economy stands and envision its future. Straightforward gains have largely been achieved, and the global economic environment is likely to remain challenging in the years ahead. Malta needs a refreshed vision to address the core economic questions of what to produce, how to produce it, and for whom. Economic success depends on a vision which sets a clear direction, represents a shift from the status quo, embodies solid values, provides a roadmap with defined milestones, and pushes individuals and businesses to excel.

Join us for this event, where we will explore Malta’s economic patterns and anticipated developments, connect the dots, and delve into the critical issues shaping the country’s future opportunities and threats. Engage in discussions with leading panellists about Malta’s economic realities and share your insights on the way forward.
